Settling In

Here are a few more pictures of campus - I have never seen or been on such a green campus!   There are trees and gardens everywhere - vines hanging down off of balconies, plastic bottles serving as planters hanging on walls, it's amazing, especially after coming from the desert!

This is my classroom, in case you were wondering.  I love that I am 101!  Here's how the numbering system works: Building number, floor, room number.  I'm in building 1 (Banyan) Floor 0 (ground floor) and room number 1.  

Love the round carpet, am exhausted by the boxes (you can't actually get a feel for the amount of boxes.  Trust me, there are many).  I opened at least 4 boxes filled with cushions.  I considered keeping them, but they are all flat and dirty.  I suppose they could be laundered, but.... When will I actually use them?  Probably never.  On the plus side, there is a baby grand piano.  Oh, wait.  I don't want to use that, either!  Play, sure, but not in the classroom.  

I'm a bit worried - so much to do to get the room ready, but they aren't really giving us any time in our classrooms.  We had one hour all of last week in the room.  And everyone's rooms were swapped out, too, so everyone is in the same boat.  Ah, well.  It will all work out, right?
